CHASM

I waited for the rain, I longed for it
The world around was so morbid
It paled, it burnt, it pleaded for life,
The blossom it was or the soul inside…

Whelming the world I longed a storm
The darkest of nights towards the dawn
Deep it desired to feel alive
Static was the night or was I…

I longed for some vivid shades
An arduous bent in the path ahead
Barren were the fields that walked along
Or the hues of life had faded long…

I longed for it to drench me through
The rain, a gleam, an ardour new
Towards the horizon the sail of the two
Along with me, my dreams a few…

  1. It's a kind of piece where openings a bit dull until it reached this line - "I longed for some vivid shades...". It's little, I felt, unclear yet a suppressed beauty does evolve. Not your great composition but not bad either.
